How do you perform a search query using the Google search engine? Oh, it’s simple. Everyone knows this! You will first type the www.google.com in the address bar, then enter the related keywords in the search box and finally, hit the “Google Search” button. After that, you get the search results.
Now, just look at your address bar. You will notice that the Google.com domain name has already changed to your country specific Google domain name. I believe many of you must have noticed this a long long time ago.
Actually Google.com redirects to local Google country specific domain, depending on the country you are located. For example in India Google.com redirects to Google.co.in – in China Google.con redirects to Google.cn – similarly it redirects in other countries. Do you want to disable this redirection and use Google.com for search queries?
Some don’t bother about this. But the search results that you get (even though you’ve typed in the exact keywords) are different between using Google.com and country specific Google domain name. So what can you do to disable this redirection and use Google.com for search queries?
It’s simple. What’s you have to do is just type in www.google.com/ncr at your browser’s address bar, where ncr stands for No Country Redirect. Use this url instead of www.google.com. It will totally disable redirect to country specific Google domain. So the next time you type www.google.com, you wouldn’t get redirected to country specific Google domain e.g. google.com.my. All your search queries will default to Google.com.
If later you want to get back to the redirection, simply delete your browser cookies
